Lakers Fans

My family (the Davis side) are huge Lakers fans. Here is the grooms cake at the wedding!

It is the Staples Center, with a Basketball and Lakers Jersey...Pretty Cool

Whewww....

We're back from our hectic little trip. There were many goods and bads about it.

The bads-
Our GPS ran out of battery and we were lost in the middle of LA trying to find our hotel.
Getting stuck in Beverly Hills and getting a cab back to our car in Hollywood
Cranky, tired Bailey
LA traffic- It's always RUSH hour in LA

The goods-The weather was nice
Seeing Nokia theatre in downtown LA
Seeing Kodak Theatre in Hollywood
The beautiful wedding that really was amazing
Seeing Family members

we went to my cousin Jason's wedding at the Vibiana. It was beautiful and unlike any wedding I've been to- probably because I'm used to LDS weddings.
This is their beautiful cake- His Grooms cake was a Laker cake which I will post a picture above.

Here is my cousin Jason and his new wife- I love the layers in the dress!

Here is the Vibiana- the chapel they were married in.

Trenton, Bailey and Mickey in Hollywood

And the awesome Nokia theatre and new ESPN Sports Building- It was so amazing, but a little too trendy for me and the fam.(There were no other kids around except Bailey)

L.A. or bust...whatever that means

We are so excited to be getting away for the weekend. My cousin Jason is getting married in LA so we are heading down. We are staying in Pasadena and plan on visiting Hollywood, Beverly Hills and a few more touristy areas on the coast. Luckily it should be in the mid 70's on Saturday so it should be beautiful. I'm kinda excited about the wedding also...supposedly they spent a ton(as much as a house in some places) so I am curious to see what a $80,000 wedding looks like.

No more puppy :(

Ok, I know this sounds awful, but I started rethinking my whole "having a puppy" idea. He is a great puppy, but still a puppy. He slept through the night and only had a few accidents, but he just needs so much attention. So out of curiosity, I posted him in Craigslist to see if anyone would be interested and if we could get back the money we bought him for. After an hour, we had more than 10 people call us. Then I started having second thoughts and wanted to keep him so Trent and I were going back and forth about him. But later after about another 20 replies, a lady called and offered us more than double what we paid (we had a bidding war going on) So, we sold him. It's kinda sad, but the lady already had a dog that was the same breed and she really wanted another to be his companion, so he went to a good home and now has a friend instead of a 13 month toddler to bug.

Bailey's new BFF

Well I went to the SPCA a few weeks ago and absolutely fell in love with a small white maltipoo. She was about 10 years old, so I thought that she would not last very long and we could handle a quiet, small adult dog. Well, she died a few days later before we could adopt her. Because I was so excited about getting a dog for Bailey, we decided that maybe we could look at others and see if there was another one that we liked. We went out Saturday morning and went to the pet stores and shelters around town and nothing seemed to really fit our family. On the way home, we see a sign in front of a house that says "puppies for sale- Toy size" so of course we stopped and fell in love with this little guy- a half Pomeranian and half American Eskimo. I know, what are we thinking? But, He is so calm and mellow we just fell in love with him. Anyways, now we are just deciding on a name for this little guy...

Woodward Park

last Saturday we went to Woodward Park here in Fresno and fed the ducks. Bailey absolutely loved it. Most of the time, I was freaking out that the geese were so close, but Trent kept trying to get them to eat out of his hand. We had a good time though and the fresh air and exercise is always nice.
