Christmas Eve

We had quite the party for Christmas Eve. My brother Casey came from California for Christmas this year. My parents, Matt's family, Aaron (Brandy's dad) and our friends the Belnaps all came for some Holiday fun.

We had our traditional enchiladas for dinner, followed by Dad and Casey playing Christmas carols on the guitar while we sang along. We then played a white elephant type game and the kids acted out the nativity. Santa then showed up with presents for all.

Such a fun evening surrounded by family and friends.....

Happy 2nd Birthday Maddie and Jackson!

Madison and Jackson turned 2 today. These two years have been the hardest so far, but have also flown by. 2 years ago I was ready to go and finish my Christmas shopping with Trent and when I sat down on the couch my water broke. All my plans for that Christmas went out the door. I ended up in the hospital on Christmas Eve and Christmas day feeling sorry for myself when Trent took the kids home and I was all alone. After getting over the sadness, I decided that I was going to walk upstairs to the NICU and see if I could hold one of the babies for the 1st time.   That night I was able to hold Jackson and all my sadness went away. I got to hold my precious 4 lb boy and snuggle him for a bit. Christmas morning before Trent and the kids arrives, I headed back up to the NICU and was able to hold my sweet 3 lb Madison. She was so tiny and fragile and it was such a special moment. I love these 2 spirits deeply and am so grateful that I'm their mom.

Happy 2nd Birthday Maddie and Jax!

Snow day 2016

The day after school got out, we headed to grandma's house for some sledding fun. My dad had made a toboggan run with his tractor this summer. When the snow hit, it fell right into place to make a great place for the kids to go sledding.  They had a blast!

Bailey's gymnastics recital

Bailey is very shy. She does not like any attention on her and is very timid. So this year I put her in gymnastics hoping to build her confidence and get her to come out of her shell a little. Her friend Erika is also in her class and Bailey enjoys having a friend with her each week.  So today was the Winter recital. Bailey has been nervous all week, but she did great today! She said that she wasn't nervous and was very excited to perform in front of so many people.

Way to go Miss B!

Polar Express Christmas Party

This year our church had a Polar Express Christmas Party. We had a breakfast and a fun program. The kids dressed in their pajamas, got a ticket from the Engineer for the ride, and when they saw Santa he handed them each a small bell. It turned out great and the kids had a great time.

Here the kids are playing with their friends in the hall

Happy Trick or Treating

Happy Halloween. This is the babies first year trick or treating so my parents came to lend some helping hands. They only went to a few of the neighbors houses, then headed home to bed. q Bailey and Nick had a few neighborhood kids that  they wanted to go with, so we all split up.

Our neighborhood is awesome for Trick or treating because there are so many retired people that love when kids come by. There aren't too many kids in the neighborhood, so the treats are pretty good.

The babies had an absolute blast running from door to door, while people put candy in their pumpkins.

Madison and Jackson waiting in grandpas car until it was time to go. They love sitting in grandpas car!

Still waiting for everyone to get ready to go, so Nick decided to scooter

Twin Farms Halloween land

Last night Trent took Bailey and Nick to Twin Farms for some fall fun. We thought it was a pumpkin patch, but it turned out to be a corn maze, hayride and tons of fun at a farm, but no pumpkin patch. The kids had an absolute blast anyways and didn't get home until after 10:30.

There was a bunny hill that you could go play on. It had tons of bunnies running around that you could hold and play with.

Sliding down the hay bales

...And a witch storyteller. They sat around a campfire while she told spooky stories.

It was fun for them to get out and have a little fun with dad before it gets too cold outside.
