trip to California

A few weeks ago, we were able to go as a family to California. We stayed with GRandma Parsons in Santa Margarita, went to Universal Studios for a few days and ended at a big cabin in Jackson for a family reunion. We were not sure how easy it would be traveling with 4 kids (and 2 year old twins) but we ended up having a blast. It would have been a little better if the twins didn't end up sick the whole time, but it was still fun.

The un-birthday Party that Aunt Pam threw for the kids. It was MIckey Mouse theme and so cute!

Snow day 2016

The day after school got out, we headed to grandma's house for some sledding fun. My dad had made a toboggan run with his tractor this summer. When the snow hit, it fell right into place to make a great place for the kids to go sledding.  They had a blast!

Happy Trick or Treating

Happy Halloween. This is the babies first year trick or treating so my parents came to lend some helping hands. They only went to a few of the neighbors houses, then headed home to bed. q Bailey and Nick had a few neighborhood kids that  they wanted to go with, so we all split up.

Our neighborhood is awesome for Trick or treating because there are so many retired people that love when kids come by. There aren't too many kids in the neighborhood, so the treats are pretty good.

The babies had an absolute blast running from door to door, while people put candy in their pumpkins.

Madison and Jackson waiting in grandpas car until it was time to go. They love sitting in grandpas car!

Still waiting for everyone to get ready to go, so Nick decided to scooter

enjoying the last few weeks of summer

Whenever the kids are just getting crazy or I just need to get out of the house, we head to grandpa and Grandma Davis' house. The kids can run around on her 2 acres and the babies love the new environment and getting out of the house too. One of the things they have just discovered is the slide. They can go up and down all by themselves and it keeps them entertained for quite a while.

And they always get yummy treats there too! Grandpa gave them ice cream sandwiches and boy did they love that. Always fun at Grandmas house.....

Happy 4th of July!

I can't believe it is already July. This summer is flying by. We headed out to the God and Country firework show last Wednesday and enjoyed the evening watching fireworks with my parents and some friends. Bailey and Nick love playing with all the kids until the fireworks show started around 10pm.

Then for the 4th we headed to Melba with my mom (Trent and Jackson stayed home) and watched their parade. The kids got so much candy thrown at them that it was like Halloween. If you want to see how exciting a melba, ID parade is, here are the highlights....

We headed back to my moms for a BBQ lunch with cousins. Maddie loves sitting on grandpas lap and sharing his food (especially if it is sweet)

Then we headed back to Star to join more friends for the City fireworks show. Nick loved rolling down the hill and they both love playing with their friends all evening. It was also chilly that evening so we huddled under the blankets for the show.... I love Idaho weather.

(Jackson missed out on most of the festivities because he doesn't like a lot of noise so Trent stayed with him most of the day)

We had such a wonderful 4th celebrating our freedom with friends and family. We love our country and grateful for all those who have served to help protect it. Happy 4th everyone.
