First day of School 2017

These two cuties started school today. Bailey is now in 4th grade and Nick is in 2nd. We had a fabulous summer with a trip to California and Universal Studios, a family reunion, an Eclipse, Roaring Springs and tons of fun playing with friends. Bailey was excited but nervous to start 4th grade. Nick really doesn't say much but has been acting up, so I'm sure he was nervous too.

We are excited to see what adventures this school year brings!

All about Nick

I was able to go with Nicks class to the Botanical Gardens. It was nice to leave the twins with my parents so I could join him and his class for their field trip. Nick had a great time and the weather was perfect.

The next day Nick had his 1st grade music program. We took the twins to this (and yes they were both being pills) but Nick did great and was so proud of all the songs he learned.

Look how tall he is in the first row.

This school year is winding down and we are all getting prepared for summer vacation. Gonna be fun playing in the warm sun, but I'm not gonna be ready for 4th and 2nd grade next year. These kids are growing up too fast!

First day of school

Today the kids are a bit anxious and excited to start school again. Nick is now in 1st grade and will get to eat lunch at school. He was very excited about that. Bailey is in 3rd grade and is very nervous. She is so shy and worries about everything, that she makes me nervous for her, but she will do great!

Nick is terrible at taking pictures so Bailey was trying to make him smile. Oh how I love these two!

These two are crazy and full of energy, but they are going to do great. Very proud of them and excited for the new adventures that this school year may bring!

Last week of school, and oh what a week

We have had quite a week. It was the kids last week of school before summer begins, so I had a list of cleaning and organizing I was trying to do during the babies nap times all week....well that didn't happen. On Monday Bailey stayed home sick with a headache and fever. (Nick had the same thing last week so I figured she got what he did) Then Tuesday was Nicks graduation. Wednesday Nick had a high fever so I kept him home and was worried about him missing the last few fun days at school. Thursday he woke up feeling fine, so off to school they go. I got a call a few hours later that Bailey got a bloody nose at field day and I needed to bring her a change of clothes. When I got there, they said that she had a fever of 100 so I took her home. Friday... the last day of school and so far the house is a mess and none of my list has been completed. The kids wanted me to drop them off at school since Bailey brought flowers to her teacher. So on the way to school I picked up donuts and as I dropped them off Bailey asked if I could bring her soup for lunch cause her throat hurt...aaah, sure I could do that, since it was her last day. Fast forward 2 hours and I get a call from the school that Nick was sick and had an accident and I needed to come pick him up. Luckily Bailey's soup was ready so I hopped in the car, dropped off the soup to Bailey (who I couldn't talk into coming home early with me) and picked up Nick who was wearing a loaner pair of clothes from the school (And we just returned Bailey's loaner clothes from the previous day). WHAT A WEEK!!!!!

While it will be nice to not worry about tests, homework and getting the kids ready for school it is going to be a long summer. Two babies  that are not very flexible may make the summer a bit tricky for fun activities, but we will do the best we can. What an adventure we are living.

(oh the many faces of Nick...that kid:)) And you can tell from the pictures that Bailey still wasn't feeling to well even though she insisted that she was fine.

Nick's classroom feast

Nick has one of the most awesome kindergarten teachers! She is so good with the kids and has so much fun. Today was their class feast. Nick had such a great time with the yummy food, his friends and mom there to help.

and the fun begins...

Another school year is upon us. Bailey is starting 2nd grade and Nick is in AM Kindergarten. They are in  a new school and have been anxiously excited about the first day. This school starts at 8am where Bailey's last school was at 9, so this will be a change getting up so early. The school is 20 minutes away, so by 7:30 we are out the door.

Nick came home from kindergarten and said that it was kinda fun, then he went straight for his video games. I guess it didn't make that big of an impact for him! I had to pull info out of him and he didn't have much to say about anything:)

Bailey had a pretty good day and even had a friend. There was a little girl from her church class that she knew and played with on the playground. She was even invited to her birthday party at the Ice Skating Rink! The only hiccup in Bailey's day was at the very end. Her teacher didn't know I was picking her up from school and stuck her on the bus. I couldn't find her after school, and luckily the bus hadn't left yet. Her teacher went and grabbed her, and when Bailey saw me she started crying. She was scared she wouldn't know where to get off.

Both kids did great and each day will hopefully get easier and better!

AS for the twinsies....They are 8 months.

Maddie is a little piggie and eats all the food she can. She doesn't have any teeth but wants to eat anything you are eating. She is a very happy, squealing baby and is now a whoppimg 15 lbs.

Jackson is very sensitive and still doesn't like much to eat except his bottle and a few baby foods. He likes to be cuddled and and has to have a soft blanket to sleep with. He is now 18 lbs and growing like a tree. Still no teeth for him either.

Both babies are trying to sit up on their own, but don't last very long. Still aways off from crawling but I am very happy that they are staying little for a little longer.
