This last few months have been pure craziness. After Trent's parents left, my mom came and stayed a few days to help with the babies who seem to be awake more, thus more crying, feeding and changing diapers. They still only sleep about 2 1/2 - 3 hours at a time at night, so I am up every two hours by the time I get the second one changed and fed before the first one wakes back up. Last night they slept almost four hours and I was so excited! It was the first time I got to sleep four full hours since they came home 6 weeks ago and it felt GREAT!
I never realized how hard it is with twins, plus keeping up with Bailey's school work and taking her to school and back, and Nick being bored and needing attention at home. IT IS EXHAUSTING!!!! My Aunt Pam came from California to help out and it was a relief. On top of it all, we put our house up for sale (we need an extra room or two) and it is hard to not only keep it clean, but we have to leave every time there is a showing. Yes we are crazy.
Nick absolutely loves the babies and is such a great helper. Sometimes though ( and it happens quite a bit) he cant contain himself and has to hug or kiss them and wakes them up...it drives me nuts!
Nick and his pal Jackson
Madison weighs 7 lbs 9 oz and Jackson was 9 lbs 7 oz . Next week they will be 3 months old. Both are on high calorie formula to get their weight up and will probably have to be on that until 9 months.
Bailey's school had dress up themes last week..so Bailey dressed up as a Dr Seuss character (Thing 1), a comic book person (Batgirl) and a character from an adventure (Pocahontas.) She loved dressing up each day for school. Both kids have felt neglected lately so it was nice to give her special attention as we planned out what she was going to be each day.
We wanted to get the kids out of the house on Saturday morning to do something fun, so Aunt Pam and I, took them to Lowe's for the free craft that day making wooden monster trucks.
