Too long

It has been a long time since I have posted, so I will catch up a bit. We had a great Halloween.  The kids went to the annual Harvest Party at the Star Barn. Then a few days later they went Trick or treating and had a blast. Maddie and Jackson loved going house to house asking for candy.

A couple days before Halloween, we went with Grandma and Grandpa to Walter's Ferry, a place where you take a mile walk and all along the way there are cool statues, signs and birdhouse. The twins had a blast running around in the fall air.

Happy Trick or Treating

Happy Halloween. This is the babies first year trick or treating so my parents came to lend some helping hands. They only went to a few of the neighbors houses, then headed home to bed. q Bailey and Nick had a few neighborhood kids that  they wanted to go with, so we all split up.

Our neighborhood is awesome for Trick or treating because there are so many retired people that love when kids come by. There aren't too many kids in the neighborhood, so the treats are pretty good.

The babies had an absolute blast running from door to door, while people put candy in their pumpkins.

Madison and Jackson waiting in grandpas car until it was time to go. They love sitting in grandpas car!

Still waiting for everyone to get ready to go, so Nick decided to scooter

And we are off.....Jackson heading out

10 months

The not so little babes are now 10 months. They had a NICU follow up yesterday to see how they are progressing. Jackson is a little behind in communication and motor skills (Around the 6 months level) but Madison is up to speed around the 8th months level, which is their adjusted age, and completely on track. Jackson is a big guy and in the 95th percentile for weight and his head is still way above average at the greater than 98th percentile range :) Both are steadily progressing and doing great!

Below is our typical cranky Jackson and mild mannered Madison...oh how we love them both!

NICU harvest party

Every year, the NICU puts on a harvest party for all its former  patients to come back and see the nurses who helped them. Since we had babies in the NICU (for 5 LONG weeks) it was nice to go back and see some familiar faces in a better environment. It brought back so many memories of how hard it was when the babies were so little, but the nurses loved seeing how big they have gotten.

It was for all family members and kids were to dress up. Bailey and Nick had a blast playing games, eating treats, doing crafts and decorating cookies. The babies were pretty good and were probably just wondering who the strange, yet oddly familiar people were who kept holding them and passing them around :)

They took family pictures there too! Babies went as skeletons, Bailey as Anna from Frozen and Nick is a cowboy ...complete with Grandpa Parsons cowboy hat.
