Babies Blessings

Nick and Madison ready to go to church

Today the babies were blessed at church. We were grateful that Trent's parents were able to make it, along with his sister Traci and her family and our friends the Belnaps.

Jackson is happy and ready to go

The babies were relaxed and out of their church clothes...now time for lunch with family and friends

Happy Birthday Trent

Trent turned 34 this year and Bailey wanted to give him a fun party. We went to the party supply store and picked out a hunting themed party with a pin the bullet on the deer game. We then finished the night with take out Chinese food and watched a movie

Bailey oversaw the party planning and decorating and wanted to dress up for the occasion, so she wore her party dress. She did a great job!

But, the thing that Trent wanted to do most for his special day was to go shooting and try out his new gun. So when his parents came into town this weekend for the babies blessing, they watched the kiddos so Trent could take me to the shooting range and teach me how to shoot.

Happy Birthday Trent, We love you!!!!

Happy Easter

Easter was pretty low key this year. It was suppose to rain on Easter Day, so my mom decided to have us come on Saturday to do the Egg Hunt and Dinner.

Here  is our baby bunny Madison

And yes, it started raining just before the egg hunt, but the kids didn't care and wanted to hunt eggs anyways

Their loot from the egg hunt- Seems they did pretty good

Easter Day was really mellow and relaxing ( except for crying babies :) We stayed home Easter day snacked on Easter Treats and watched general conference.

Spring Break

Bailey, Nick and cousins (Aaron & Sunny) flying kites at grandmas

We had a lot of fun over spring break. We had swim lessons at the YMCA every evening, played at parks, and flew kites at grandmas.

Nick loves swimming and is a little fish when he gets in the water. His teacher had to keep telling him to stop swimming around and listen to her talk. :)

Bailey is starting to get more comfortable with swimming all on her own.

The biggest adventure was that we sold our house!!!! Within a month of listing, we got an offer and now have only 30 days to be out and find a new house. It has been quite a ride trying to keep up with things, but I am hoping that when we get into a bigger place with more bedrooms and hopefully a bigger backyard, that we can have a more relaxing summer. Luckily my mom has been helping a ton so that we can keep the house cleaned, babies happy and still find time to do fun things with the other kids.

Nick is still loving on the babies all the time

Our silly picture of what a crazy family we are!

Exhausted

This last few months have been pure craziness. After Trent's parents left, my mom came and stayed a few days to help with the babies who seem to be awake more, thus more crying, feeding and changing diapers. They still only sleep about 2 1/2 - 3 hours at a time at night, so I am up every two hours by the time I get the second one changed and fed before the first one wakes back up. Last night they slept almost four hours and I was so excited! It was the first time I got to sleep four full hours since they came home 6 weeks ago and it felt GREAT!

I never realized how hard it is with twins, plus keeping up with Bailey's school work and taking her to school and back, and Nick being bored and needing attention at home. IT IS EXHAUSTING!!!! My Aunt Pam came from California to help out and it was a relief. On top of it all, we put our house up for sale (we need an extra room or two) and it is hard to not only keep it clean, but we have to leave every time there is a showing. Yes we are crazy.

Nick absolutely loves the babies and is such a great helper. Sometimes though ( and it happens quite a bit) he cant contain himself and has to hug or kiss them and wakes them up...it drives me nuts!

Nick and his pal Jackson

Madison weighs 7 lbs 9 oz and Jackson was 9 lbs 7 oz . Next week they will be 3 months old. Both are on high calorie formula to get their weight up and will probably have to be on that until 9 months.

Bailey's school had dress up themes last week..so Bailey dressed up as a Dr Seuss character (Thing 1), a comic book person (Batgirl) and a character from an adventure (Pocahontas.) She loved dressing up each day for school. Both kids have felt neglected lately so it was nice to give her special attention as we planned out what she was going to be each day.

We wanted to get the kids out of the house on Saturday morning to do something fun, so Aunt Pam and I, took them to Lowe's for the free craft that day making wooden monster trucks.

Newborn photo shoot

The babies are now 8 weeks old, but their due date was just a few days ago on Feb 15th. Even though Jackson and Madison are the size of normal newborns now, they are a little more alert, strong and awake than a newborn, so we knew it would be hard to get good pictures of the two of them together.

So my mom and I gathered as many props and outfits together, and with Matt taking the pictures and Brandy helping to pose them, we had our newborn photo shoot. Both babies were crying and  did not want to sleep. So we took off their clothes and diapers to try and get a few good poses.

One of the cutest ideas we had was to put both babies in a basket lined with white fur. We placed them in it and they were really cranky. After a few minutes, they relaxed, slumped down a bit, and were very content just looking around. After we took quite a few pictures, we picked them up and both babies had pooped all over themselves and the basket....it was quite the mess to clean up. Lesson learned, keep the diapers on!!!!

Here are a few of my favorite photos

Birthdays and Valentines

February has been a crazy month. Bailey had her 7th Birthday and I let her have a small party, I was given  a baby shower, Grandpa and Grandma Campbell came to visit and help with the babies, and it was Valentines Day.
