Shaver Lake

This weekend for Labor Day the Davis family went up to Shaver Lake on a Pontoon boat all day. We were afraid the Bailey would be fussy, but she absolutley loved it. She was happy all day and was great for us! Here she is with her cute Aunt Rachel (Casey's wife)

An easy, peaceful night

Bailey's worst time of day is in the evening. Now that Trent is back to working nights, it's the time of day that I dread the most (Trent's off around midnight) She is always cranky and has a rough time before she finally falls asleep. Tonight I stuck her on the floor with her boppy and she kept herself busy for about 45 minutes with just random things she found next to her, like a pacifier that she has never had any interest in, a notebook and a cube. I was so excited how easy she was tonight. It's funny how small things like this really make me happy and make my evening so much better! She then went right to sleep afterwards with no fussing or crying....YEAY!

Chuck "e" Cheese

Trent and I will be married for 4 years this Thursday. We decided to celebrate tonight since this week will be so crazy. We had originally planned on going to Ruths Chris Steakhouse, but Bailey started screaming at everyone while we were waiting, so we decided to go to kid friendly Chuck E Cheese. Bailey loved it there and even rode a few rides!!!!

MHS "98 Grads!!!!

Ok, so all you you guys out there who graduated from Madera High School in 1998, I found out that we are having a 10 year reunion on November 1, at the Golf Course, so plan ahead if you want to attend. Please spread the word to everyone....Gina, Marcee, Carl, Mark, BJ, Brandon, Lani, Bret and anyone else you can think of.

1st day of class

Today was the first day back to work, with my new class at the Madera Community College. I have a small class of 5 girls so far. The class is MWF from 9-11:30. The first day seemed to go really well. I actually enjoy teaching! Bailey also has problems when her mommy is working and not with her. She did ok for Grandma and Grandpa today, but still had at least an hour long crying fit. Hopefully she will get used to me leaving for a few hours. All in all I think my class and Bailey did pretty well. Next week Trent switches work schedule and starts a new semester at school so we will be busy busy busy!

Vacation to the Beach

As summer is coming to an end, we realized that we did not go on a family vacation. So we decided to go to the Beach for a few days. The weather was absolutley perfect and we had a great time. This was Bailey's first time and she loved the sand and all the neat things that she saw. She did not like the cold water though. Thursday we went to a waterpark and Bailey loved going in the wave pool and letting the small waves crash around her legs. Now it's back to work and school until our next vacation around the Holiday season.

Morning walks

Every morning, Bailey and I go for a walk with a friend of mine. The past few days it was so sunny and hot, Bailey would make it about 20 minutes before she started crying, so I decided that maybe it was time to have her wear her sunglasses. To my surprise, it works. Now Bailey is happy and content that the sun is not glaring in her eyes and is good for about an hour. She likes wearing her glasses and doesn't try to take them or her hat off. What a good girl she is!
